We visited Captain Cod to eat in for the first time tonight. Two of us had cod and chips, the other had fishcake and chips. The food, all freshly cooked and prepared, arrived promptly and was to the highest standard. Really impressed with this restaurant. Best fish and chips I have had in ages. The meet and greet from the owner was very warm and welcoming. The restaurant is very clean, pleasant and modern. Prices very competitive. Great value for money. We will be eating here again in future. I look forward to returning to Captain Cod. Thank you so much for a lovely meal and great start to our evening. Highly recommended eating venue.

Masala cod and chips, really tasty fresh tasting and really beautifully seasoned fish. The chips too were hot fluffy and crispy. Nice clean place to eat in, would recommend.

Excellent food, that too halal, right here in newbury. The masala fish and the chicken wings need special mention. The burger buns were so soft, just like McDs. Wholesome ambience and a nice, friendly family. Please support local businesses instead of these costly franchises. Kudos to the family! Well done and keep doing awesome food for us!
